The Sinnissippi Foundation
Established in 1979, The Sinnissippi Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization which seeks to increase the ability of Sinnissippi Centers to provide quality, coordinated and responsive behavioral healthcare services to children, adults, families, and communities now and in the future. The Foundation advances the mission of Sinnissippi Centers by:
- Increasing public awareness of Sinnissippi’s mission by hosting special community events
- Inviting individuals, corporations and others to make charitable gifts to enhance current Sinnissippi client services and prepare for the future
- Awarding funds to selected Sinnissippi programs and services based on client and community need
- Gifts made to The Sinnissippi Foundation support current programs and services of Sinnissippi Centers and will assist the agency in meeting future needs in our area.
Individual Funds of The Sinnissippi Foundation
General Fund donations are utilized to support all programs and activities of The Foundation, including community grants in support of the Sinnissippi Centers’ mission of providing quality behavioral healthcare.
The CARES Fund of The Sinnissippi Foundation is able to help individuals and families of Sinnissippi Centers when they are facing a trying time in their life. It could be a need of having to pay the rent, meeting the utilities need of the household so that it stays warm during the cold winter months, or providing help with paying a co-pay for medication.
The Client Holiday Celebration Fund is utilized to hold the annual Client Holiday Celebration each December. Over 100 clients gather and enjoy a time of good cheer. Clients and staff alike look forward to this special day which features music, fun and a holiday meal.
The Holiday Food Basket Fund provides food items during the holidays to Sinnissippi Centers’ clients and families in need. Through the Foundation, food baskets are delivered during Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter.
The Jim Sarver Education Fund helps to provide a foundation for the future of clients of Sinnissippi Centers. Established in honor of former Sinnissippi Centers’ President/CEO Jim Sarver, this fund provides support to help Sinnissippi Centers’ clients to obtain their GED so they can further their educatoin or improve their economic status for themselves and their families.
Help The Sinnissippi Foundation Help Others
The activities and funds of The Sinnissippi Foundation would not be possible without the generous support of caring individuals, business and organizations. There are several ways to help.
Contributions – Many supporters of The Foundation provide regular donations in support of the different
Sponsorships – Throughout the year, The Foundation hosts public events, all of which require sponsorship
dollars to help with underwriting the costs of these events.
Volunteering – Periodically The Foundation needs assistance with its different project and/or events. This
includes assisting with mailing, staffing an event or other duties.
Leaving Your Legacy
A simple but powerful way of making a difference in the lives of individuals and families facing challenges of a mental illness, alcohol or drug problem, or family crisis is by including The Sinnissippi Foundation in your estate plan.
